partners@tenyear.ioFrequently Asked Questions
What are SDC credits?
System Development Charges (SDCs) are one-time fees collected by local governments to fund infrastructure improvements like roads, parks, water systems, and schools. When a project generates excess capacity, the developer may receive transferable credits that can be sold to other developers.
How do I verify if my credits are transferable?
Transferability rules vary by jurisdiction. Check our Jurisdiction Guide for specific requirements, or contact the issuing municipality directly. Our team also provides verification assistance for all listings.
What documents do I need to list my credits?
At minimum, you'll need the original credit certificate or resolution from the municipality. Additional documentation may include the original fee receipt, any transfer agreements, and proof of current ownership.
How long does the verification process take?
Most listings are reviewed within 2-3 business days. Complex cases requiring municipal confirmation may take longer. You'll receive email updates throughout the process.
Typical response time: We aim to respond to all inquiries within 1-2 business days.
